Messages Settings

Message settings panel let you customize the validation, error, success and booking related messages shown to customers during the appointment booking process on the booking form.

Message Settings

You can manage all booking messages from the BookingPress → Settings → Messages panel.

These messages appear throughout the frontend booking panel to guide customers when:

  • Selecting services, dates, or time slots.
  • Applying coupon codes.
  • Completing payments.
  • Booking recurring appointments.
  • Cancelling appointments.
  • Handling unavailable time slots or payment methods.

Customizing these messages helps you create a clearer and more personalized booking experience as well as keeps your service business communication consistent with your brand tone.

In the following sections, we’ll walk through each message type available in BookingPress and explain where it appears during the booking workflow.

What Booking Validation Messages Can You Customize?

These messages help customers complete the booking process correctly by showing validation prompts when must-have (request) booking details are missing or unavailable.

No Service Selected For The Booking

Shown when a customer tries to continue the booking process without selecting any service.

Default Message: Please select any service to book an appointment.

No Appointment Date Selected For The Booking

Shown when a customer tries to continue without selecting an appointment date.

Default Message: Please select an appointment date to proceed with the booking.

No Appointment Time Selected For The Booking

Shown when no appointment time slot is selected.

Default Message: Please select a time slot to proceed with the booking.

No Staff Member Selected For The Booking

Shown when a customer has not picked a staff member while booking.

Default Message: Please select staff member

No Timeslots Available For Booking

Shown when no appointment time slots are available for the selected date or service only. 

Default Message: There is no time slots available

No Service Is Available For Booking

Shown when no services are available at the moment for booking.

Default Message: There is no service available for booking

No Staffmember Is Available For Booking

Shown when no staff members are available for the selected booking. 

Default Message: There is no staff member available for booking

What Payment Messages Can You Customize?

These messages are shown during the time when the customer makes payment and checkouts. 

No Payment Method Is Selected For The Booking

Shown when a customer tries to continue without selecting any payment method.

Default Message: Please select a payment method to proceed with the booking.

No Payment Method Available

Shown when no payment method is available for the selected booking setup.

Default Message: There is no payment method available.

Unsupported Currency Selected For The Payment

Shown when the payment gateway selected by the customer does not support the default currency.

Default Message: I am sorry! The selected currency is not supported by selected payment gateway. Please proceed with another available payment method.

Please Fill All Fields Value Of Card Details

Shown when needed card details are missing during payment.

Default Message: Please fill all fields value of card details

Payment Token Failure Message

Shown when the payment token validation fails or does not match.

Default Message: Payment token incorrect or mismatch

Payment Already Paid Message

Shown when a payment has already been completed for the appointment the customer is about to proceed with. 

Default Message: Payment already completed

Complete Payment Success Message

Shown after a successful payment transaction.

Default Message: Payment completed successfully

What Coupon Code Messages Can You Customize? 

These messages are shown when customers try to apply coupon codes or discount codes to get a discount on the total price during checkout.

Coupon Code Is Not Valid

Shown when the customer enters invalid coupon code. 

Default Message: Coupon code is not valid

Coupon Code Not Allowed

Shown when the coupon code entered is deactivated from the admin dashboard. 

Default Message: Coupon code not allowed

Coupon Code Expired

Shown when a customer applies an expired coupon code.

Default Message: Coupon code expired

Coupon Code Is Not Allowed For Customer

Shown when the coupon code is restricted for specific customers only.

Default Message: Coupon code is not allowed for this customer

Coupon Code Is Not Valid For Selected Service

Shown when the coupon code does not apply to the selected service.

Default Message: Coupon code is not valid for selected service

Coupon Code No Longer Available

Shown when the coupon usage limit has already been reached.

Default Message: Coupon code no longer available

Coupon Code Does Not Exist

Shown when the entered coupon code cannot be found. Whether it may be deleted from the BookingPress Coupon Management panel, or never existed. 

Default Message: Coupon code does not exist

What Appointment Status & Cancellation Messages Can You Customize? 

These messages are used for appointment approval, rejection, cancellation and refund related actions. Customers can see these messages from their “My Bookings” customer front-end panel.  

Cancel Appointment Confirmation

Shown when customers cancel an appointment for confirmation. 

Default Message: Cancel appointment confirmation

No Appointment Available To Cancel

Shown when there is no appointment available for cancellation.

Default Message: There is no appointment to cancel

Refund Policy Message

Shown for refund related information during cancellation.

Default Message: Refund policy message

Shown when the appointment approval or rejection link has expired.

Default Message: The link you are trying to access has expired

Appointment Approved Message

Shown after an appointment has been approved successfully.

Default Message: The appointment has been successfully approved

Appointment Rejected Message 

Shown after an appointment has been rejected successfully.

Default Message: The appointment has been successfully rejected

Appointment Approved Already Message

Shown when an appointment has already been approved earlier.

Default Message: The appointment has been approved already

Appointment Rejected Already Message

Shown when an appointment has already been rejected earlier.

Default Message: The appointment has been rejected already 

What Service Extras Messages Can You Customize? 

These messages appear when customers select extra services during booking.

Minimum Required Service Extras Message

Shown when the minimum required number of service extras is not selected.

Default Message: Please select at least [x] extra service

Maximum Allowed Service Extras Message

Shown when customers select more than the allowed number of service extras.

Default Message: You can select maximum [x] extra services

What Recurring Appointment Messages Can You Customize? 

These messages let your customers complete recurring appointment bookings correctly.

Please Select Recurring Start Date

Shown when no recurring appointment start date is selected.

Default Message: Please select recurring start date.

Please Select Recurring Timeslot

Shown when no recurring appointment timeslot is selected.

Default Message: Please select recurring timeslot.

Please Select Recurring No Of Session

Shown when the number of recurring sessions is not selected.

Default Message: Please select recurring no of session.

Please Select Recurring Frequency

Shown when no recurring booking frequency is selected.

Default Message: Please select recurring frequency.

Please Add Recurring Appointment

Shown when recurring appointment details are incomplete.

Default Message: Please add recurring appointments.

What Suggested & Unavailable Timeslot Messages Can You Customize? 

These messages are shown when selected appointment slots are unavailable or alternative times are suggested.

Please Select Time For Not Available Appointment

Shown when customers must select another available date or time slot.

Default Message: Please select date & time for not available appointment.

Selected Date Or Time Slot Is Suggested

Shown when BookingPress suggests an alternative available time slot.

Default Message: Suggested time slot due to unavailability.

Selected Or Suggested Time Slot Not Available

Shown when both selected and suggested appointment slots are unavailable.

Default Message: Selected or suggested time slot not available.
